What is Porchfest?

Porchfest is an afternoon of mini-concerts on porches throughout the Southwest quadrant of West Chester. It offers a variety of music for the entire family, and it supports a great cause.


What should I bring?

Bring your friends and family, chairs or a blanket, water and sunscreen, as well as money to support local bands, food trucks and local West Chester restaurants.


What type of music will Porchfest include?

A variety. Every performing band or group is different with their own style and lineup. Porchfest has music for all.


How do I find out who is playing where?

You’ll find the most up-to-date info on performers, times, and locations on Schedule here.


What food trucks will be there and where will they be parked?

Back Country Bites, Philly Hots, Sabatino’s Mobile Pizza, Saloon 151, Tacqueria Los Pablanos, Uncle John’s BBQ and Dutch Country Concessions in the 200 block of W. Union Street

Dia Doce Cupcakes, Kona Ice, Maggie Moo’s Ice Cream, Rosie’s Kettle Corn and Scoops N’ Smiles Ice Cream in the 300 block of S. New Street (around corner from food trucks)

Turks Head Coffee @ Ironworks Church

What is there besides music?

Food trucks! (See above and on schedule).

The West Chester Green Team is offering the following Children’s activities: a craft porch, story book reading porch, journey stick making porch and an instrument petting zoo.

West Chester Dance Works will have a performance and a hip/hop class.

Two porch hosts will be offering face painting by BirlGirl Designs.

The West Chester Green Team will have porches regarding environmental concerns such as: Plastic/Water Pollution, Citizen’s Climate Lobby and Living Landscapes & Green Wagons. We hope you’ll be inspired to join a committee or simply get more info on what you can do at home to make a difference.

The West Chester Co-op is providing free strawberry shortcake. Yum!


Will there be restrooms available?

Restrooms will be available at 8 different locations throughout Porchfest.

Where should I park?

West Chester University is providing a shuttle bus from West Chester University parking lots M and Q to the corner of Darlington and Dean Street (will run from 12:30-7:30). There are also multiple other locations. Please view all parking information here.

Please note the 200-600 blocks of Dean, the 200-400 blocks of W. Union and 200-400 blocks of W. Barnard will be closed with no parking allowed.
